Kansas Group 1 Driver Practice Notes
Christopher Bell – Christopher Bell had the fastest overall speed among Group 1 drivers. Also in Group 1, Bell had the best 5,10,15,20,25 and 30-lap averages.
Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman looked good and was fast. In Group 1, Bowman ranked 2nd for 10 and 15-lap averages. Bowman said his car was OK but had a little bit of work to do during an interview.
William Byron – William Byron reported he was loose in the corners. In group 1, Byron ranked 4th for 10 lap averages and ranked 2nd for 20,25 and 30-lap averages.
Corey Heim – Heim looked pretty good and had solid speed. His team was said to be close. In group 1 he ranked 5th for 10-lap averages. He never made a 15-lap run.
Noah Gragson – Noah Gragson had pretty solid speed in practice among his tier. In group 1, Gragson ranked 3rd for both 10 and 20-lap averages.
