A dog and a cat have died following a house fire Saturday afternoon.
WFPS says they responded to reports of a house fire around 3:57 p.m. on Saturday along Scurfield Boulevard near Columbia Drive.
When fire crews arrived at the home, they found smoke and flames coming from within and began to battle the blaze, declaring it under control at 4:41 p.m.
WFPS says that all occupants were out of the house prior to their arrival; however, a cat and a dog were found dead.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
