Giants draft grades 2026: Fans love Arvell Reese, Francis Mauigoa picks

New York Giants fans — at least the ones voting in our polls — love the team’s selections of Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Seventy percent of voters in our poll have thus far given the selection of Reese, a linebacker, at No. 5 an ‘A’ grade. That poll is still open if you want to weigh in.
The Giants were surprised to find Reese available to them. Coach John Harbaugh said GM Joe Schoen ran a “zillion” draft simulations and Reese was rarely still on the board for the Giants.
The selection of Mauigoa, who will begin his Giants career at right guard, got an ‘A’ from 61% of voters and a ‘B’ from another 29%.
Like the Reese poll, that one is also still open.
The Gints have the fifth pick in Friday’s second round, 37th overall. Let’s hope Giants fans are as happy with that one as they are with the first roun selection.
