Why are Lotto results delayed tonight? National Lottery issues statement as people await numbers in £2m draw

It’s Wednesday night, which means Lotto players across the country will be getting ready to check their tickets tonight (April 29).

There’s a huge £2m jackpot up for grabs and people are waiting for the six main numbers and the bonus ball to see if they’re winners.

The draw was due to take place at 8pm. However there are currently technical problems.

The National Lottery has confirmed there is a fault delaying the results.

A spokesperson said: “Due to a technical fault the live stream is delayed. We’re working hard to fix it and apologise for the inconvenience.”

It is currently unclear when the draw will take place. But the Manchester Evening News will bring you the results as soon as they become available on our dedicated live feed here.

The Thunderball draw went ahead and was livestreamed as scheduled at 8.15pm. The winning numbers were 1, 23, 26, 29, 37. The Thunderball is: 13.
