Bad Bunny is Still Bad, Even 50 Years Older at the 2026 Met Gala

Time waits for no one—including the ever-charming and stylish Bad Bunny. Tonight, on the 2026 Met Gala carpet, the singer chose to speed up the hands of time, arriving as an aged version of himself.

Bad Bunny (or Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) prosthetic-fueled beauty look is meant to be in conversation with one of the many types of bodies explored as part of the Costume Institute’s 2026 exhibition—specifically, the aging body. “Perhaps reflecting our fear of having to face our own mortality, the youth-oriented fashion industry has traditionally ignored the aged body,” reads a text in the exhibition catalog.

The prosthetics were created by makeup artist Mike Marino, who has also been behind some of Heidi Klum’s most iconic (and startling!) Halloween costumes. The process behind it all focused on the hyper-realistic—every wrinkle, sag, and sun-spot was hand-sculpted by Marino after a conversation with Bad Bunny about how the passing of time may actually affect his face, neck, and hands.

This isn’t the first time the Puerto Rican singer has arrived on the Met Gala red carpet in full glam. Past years have included dewy skin, accessorized bouffants, and a perfectly placed kiss-curl for last year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

Tonight, Bad Bunny wears a custom all-black tuxedo suit of his own design (in collaboration with Zara). The oversized pussy bow on his neck is a reference to famed designer Charles James’s 1947 gown “Bustle,” which is part of the Costume Institute’s permanent collection.

Whether he’s 32 or much (much) older, one thing’s for certain—Bad Bunny is still bad. Period.
