Keke Palmer turned a New York press day into a three-part stiletto run on Monday, keeping the shoes glossy while shifting the shape from caged pumps to black patent mules and metallic peep-toe slingbacks.
Palmer’s first high-shine pair was Christian Louboutin’s Gold Deck 100 Specchio PVC pump, a 100mm pointed style in clear PVC and metallic gold specchio leather. The shoe had a mirrored cap toe, a covered counter, a buckled ankle strap and a slim T-strap running down the center of the foot. Across the vamp, narrow gold strips crossed over the transparent upper in a cage-like pattern.

She paired the metallic pumps with a magenta satin wrap top and light-wash jeans embroidered with Y2K-leaning floral embroidery along the pockets and the leg seams. She kept the early-2000s aesthetic going with copper-toned space buns and glossy pink makeup.

Palmer later changed Black Suede Studio’s Jazz 100 mules, a $345 open-toe style with a 100mm heel. Her pair had a glossy black finish, a high-curved vamp and a backless cut that left the heel fully exposed. The front opened across the toes, while the patent upper curved high enough over the foot to keep the mule closer to a going-out pump than a minimal slide.

She wore the black mules with what appears to be a white iteration of Thierry Mugler’s spring 1992 cage corset jacket, paired with cropped black cigarette pants. Palmer kept the rest of the styling pared back with hoop earrings, a dark lip and a braided updo.

For “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Palmer stayed with metallic stilettos, this time opting for mirror-finish gold, peep-toe slingback.

She kept the look in the same hue, wearing the metallic pumps with an asymmetrical yellow dress that left one shoulder bare and covered the other with a long sleeve. Gold-toned hardware accented the waist and shoulder strap, while a draped panel crossed the hips before falling along the longer side of the skirt.

Boots Riley’s “I Love Boosters,” is a crime-comedy in which Palmer plays a member of the Velvet Gang, a group of shoplifters who flip stolen designer goods. The film, which also stars LaKeith Stanfield and Demi Moore, hits theaters on Friday.
