Mikel Arteta celebrated Arsenal’s Premier League title with his players
Mikel Arteta is understood to have watched Bournemouth’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City – Arsenal’s crowning moment – at home with his family.
However, that did not stop him from heading out into Central London to celebrate his side’s historic triumph, their first Premier League title in 22 years, with his players and Arsenal staff members.
football.london understands Arsenal’s stars took over Tape Nightclub in Mayfair in the early hours after leaving the club’s Sobha Realty Training Centre around 11:30pm.
The majority of them headed home to change first before reuniting for the main event. According to insiders, Arteta was later present at Tape and certainly relished the chance to enjoy the moment and let off some steam following a long season.

Speaking after the 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday evening, Arteta revealed he planned to watch Bournemouth against City from home with his wife and three sons.
He was not visible in any video clips that surfaced from the club’s training complex while sporting director Andrea Berta was hoisted into the air as Arsenal’s ecstatic squad danced and chanted together.
Champagne corks were popped while the 2010 South Africa World Cup soundtrack ‘Wavin’ Flag’ and Queen’s ‘We Are the Champions’ were among the tunes of choice.
There was a carnival atmosphere inside Tape according to well-placed sources. Noni Madueke rapped and captain Martin Odegaard and other stars drank from Arsenal-branded water bottles to mock the club’s critics.

But when it was nearly time to turn the lights on, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Jurrien Timber had a lightbulb moment. They wanted to see the Emirates Stadium and get a taste of the carnage that had taken place in N5.
They arrived close to 5am and took a leisurely stroll around the ground as a few weary-eyed supporters patrolled the streets. Some were even lucky enough to take pictures with their heroes.
It goes without saying that Arsenal are not due to report for training today.
Preparations for Sunday’s final-day trip to Crystal Palace, where the Gunners will receive a guard of honour, will be centred around managing fitness levels ahead of the Champions League final against PSG on May 30.
