After Manchester City’s 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Tuesday (May 19) confirmed the Gunners as champions, the school’s Facebook account posted: “Super Myles Lewis-Skelly has won the Premier League!
“From Aldenham to Premier League champion. An Aldenham alumnus making history with Arsenal! We couldn’t be prouder.”
In an interview with Arsenal’s website last year, he said: “It was hard at times but the people around me made it a lot easier to juggle football and education.
“For me the big thing was communication, so they would each tell me my schedule, and then I was very good at planning my time. I think that was my biggest challenge, because as a footballer your schedule is always changing so that’s what the teachers needed to understand.”
The 19-year-old made his debut for Mikel Arteta’s side in September 2024, coming on in the latter stages of a chaotic 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
This term he has made 18 Premier League appearances as Arsenal secured their first league title in 22 years.
After making his England debut last March, he will be hopeful of a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad, which is set to be announced tomorrow (May 22).
