UCLA swept through its regional at home last weekend, surviving a scare from California Baptist in its opener before beating South Carolina twice, including a run-rule win in the regional final, to advance. Megan Grant set an NCAA single-season record with 40 home runs for the Bruins this season, while Jordan Woolery comes into the Super Regionals with 34 homers and 111 RBI. Tinsley Taylor (30-6) enters with a 3.03 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 203 innings this season.

UCF opened its regional at Florida State with an extra-innings win over Jacksonville State before beating Stetson via the run rule, setting up a showdown with the Seminoles. The Knights lost the first game of the regional finals before upsetting Florida State 4-2 in the final game. Beth Damon leads the team with 16 home runs, while Sierra Humphreys comes in with 56 RBI. Kendall Yarnell has a team-best 1.222 OPS with 15 homers and 46 RBI. Isabella Vega (18-9) leads the pitching staff with a 2.81 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 149.2 innings.
The Bruins are playing in their 27th straight NCAA tournament and third straight Super Regional, winning 12 national championships (a 13th in 1995 was later vacated by the NCAA). The Knights, meanwhile, are in just their second Super Regional while playing in their sixth straight NCAA tourney as they seek a first-ever trip to the WCWS.
