Livvy Dunne reveals what she does before every Paul Skenes pitch

Livvy Dunne is making sure her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, is supported when he is on the pitching mound.
Dunne made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 13, where she said she’s suspicious, so she makes sure to do this one tactic before Skenes gets ready to pitch.
“I usually wear an Oura Ring, and it tells me I’m going to explore and die every time I watch him.”
“I’m a little superstitious,” she continued, “so I have to scream before every single pitch at the top of my lungs, ‘Let’s go, Paul!’ ”
Fallon joked with her, “So if you go to a game, you don’t want to sit in front of you.”
“I mean, unless you want to cheer with me,” she laughed in response.
The couple has been dating since 2023 and met when they both attended LSU. Dunne was on the gymnastics team, where she helped lead LSU to their first-ever women’s gymnastics team national championship in 2024.
Skenes, on the other hand, took his career to the MLB, where he is a pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
While Dunne is supporting Skenes up in the stands, the former LSU gymnast has shot to stardom on social media with nearly eight million followers. Dunne shared that Skenes supports her with her career as she was recently featured on Sports Illustrated Swim for the fourth time.
“I texted him. I was like, ‘Hey, the SI photos are out,'” she recalls telling Skenes to People. “And he’s like, ‘Where can I see them?'” she laughs, before adding, “As if he doesn’t know.” Skenes wasn’t getting any special treatment, as Dunne reveals that she sent him a link to the photos online.
“I was like, ‘Just look at everything,'” she continued. “He loved it. Yeah, he loved it. He always does.”
