Couple open new café serving speciality drinks in seaside town

Crust and Cream café welcomed its first customers on May 12.
The café is a multi-purpose space combining a deli-style eatery, dessert parlour, and cocktail bar all under one roof.
The team behind the venture says the idea is to offer something a little different for the area, with a strong focus on homemade and internationally inspired food.

Speaking on opening day, the owners described their menu as a mix of Greek and Turkish-inspired desserts alongside deli-style food options such as sandwiches and “grown-up” milkshakes and cocktails.
They explained customers can expect a wide variety of sweet treats, including ice creams and desserts influenced by flavours from Greece and Turkey, as well as creative shake combinations that can be made with or without alcohol.
A standout feature of the café is its creative drinks offering.
“We’ve got ice creams, desserts from Greece and Turkey, and milkshakes. If you want to make it, you can have alcohol shakes, grown-up shakes, special mix shakes. You can have anything,” the spokesman said.
The business is run by a husband-and-wife team, who manage the café together.

They explained that opening the venue has been a long-term project and that they are excited to finally open their doors to the public.
Everything served is homemade, and they pride themselves on a personal, hands-on approach to running the café.

Beyond the menu, the owners also expressed a strong desire for community support.
They encouraged local residents to visit, try the food, and help the café grow during its early days.
Their hope is that the venue will become a regular spot where people can gather, relax, and enjoy a mix of food, desserts, and drinks in a welcoming atmosphere.
