Atalanta star Ederson has reportedly made a decision regarding a potential move to Manchester United. The Reds are being heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian, and now it seems that the chances of the midfielder making the switch to Old Trafford have increased.
The MEN reported on Saturday that United have made progress in their bid to sign the midfielder and could make him the club’s first signing of the summer.
There have even been outlets claiming that a verbal agreement has been reached between United and Atalanta over a deal for the 26-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Ederson is giving United every chance to complete a deal to sign him by not talking to any other clubs.

The transfer specialist has reported that Ederson has “paused” talks with other clubs and is giving his full attention to United as the Reds and Atalanta look to agree a deal to sign the midfielder.
United are reported to be in advanced talks to sign Ederson this summer, but are yet to make their final decision to allow the midfielder to formally complete a move to Old Trafford.
It’s been widely reported that United will be in the market to sign a new midfielder when the summer transfer window opens, as they look to bring in a replacement for Casemiro who will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Ederson is reported to be valued by Atalanta at £38.3million, which would include an initial fee of £34.5m plus add-ons.

Atalanta boss Raffaele Palladino recently provided an update on Ederson’s future after the midfielder was an unused substitute in the Serie A outfit’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina on Friday night.
Palladino said: “Ederson out? It was a decision we agreed with the boy because there’s something going on in the transfer market.
“The fact that such a player is being followed by such a big club should be a source of pride.”
Ederson is not the only midfielder to be linked with a move to United this summer, with Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson also a target.
Anderson is believed to be a player on United’s shortlist of targets, with Manchester City also expressing an interest in the England international who is reported to be valued at around £100million.
