Confirmed line-up: Two changes for season finale

Dan Burn and Jacob Murphy replace Kieran Trippier and Harvey Barnes respectively for this afternoon’s clash at Craven Cottage, who both drop to the substitutes’ bench.

Murphy, who has recorded three goal involvements in his last three Premier League matches against Fulham, is set for his 150th competitive start for his boyhood club.

Nick Pope, who has recorded 11 clean sheets in all competitions so far this season, continues in-between the sticks while Malick Thiaw and Sven Botman feature at the heart of United’s backline.

Lewis Hall is likely to play at right-back while Burn, who was named in the England squad for this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals on Friday, will face his former club following a five-year spell with the Cottagers.

Bruno Guimarães, who scored a late winner in October’s 2-1 reverse league win against Fulham, captains the visitors in the capital and lines up alongside Sandro Tonali in the middle of the park.

Yoane Wissa, who netted his first Newcastle goal in December’s Carabao Cup quarter-final victory against Fulham, is named on the bench as well as Joe Willock, Anthony Elanga and Anthony Gordon.

Sean Neave, who celebrates his 19th birthday on Wednesday, targets a Premier League debut for his boyhood club while Alex Murphy will be aiming for a first league appearance since January.
