Pep Guardiola will certainly value the presence of his daughter Maria in his Manchester City swansong on the final day of the Premier League season.
The Citizens boss will bid farewell to the club after their home fixture against Aston Villa on Sunday. It’ll be quite the emotional scene at the Etihad Stadium, where Maria has attended several games this season.
The 25-year-old – who is the daughter of the football icon and his estranged, fashion stylist wife Cristina Serra – works as a model and regularly travels across Manchester, London and Spain. The brunette beauty has also lived in Barcelona, Rome, Brescia, Qatar, Mexico, New York and Munich while following her dad’s playing and coaching careers.

She once made a heartbreaking admission when she revealed that the careers of her parents led to their reduced time together as a family.
She told Vanity Fair: “Given the hectic pace of my parents’ careers, we didn’t get to see each other much.
“All our moves have revolved around his career, first as a player and then as a coach. Football has shaped much of our family’s journey.” However, she did note that the constant relocation resulted in her self-confidence improving.

She added: “Moving so frequently gave me a great deal of self-confidence, which I don’t think I could have gained in any other way at such a young age. I also fondly remember that sport was a big part of my childhood.
“Following my father around the world to watch matches created special memories and brought the family very close together.”
Guardiola’s decade-long reign at the Etihad coincided with reports that he’s lived separately from his wife since she moved back to Barcelona in 2019.
The 55-year-old has resided in a lavish Salford apartment while Serra now lives in the Eixample neighbourhood of Barcelona after leaving their £8.5million marital home, according to Spanish podcast Mamarazzis.

Maria, meanwhile, has 895,000 followers on Instagram and regularly posts content of her jet-setting life with several uploads of her visits to the Etihad garnering significant attention.
She was sat alongside her father for City’s 4-0 demolition of Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals last month as Guardiola served a touchline ban with assistant Pep Lijnders leading the side from the dugout.
Guardiola’s exit is a huge blow for the club and English football. He’s won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in his last season, with 20 major honours won in just 10 years.
