Centenary Poems author pays tribute to life of Stanley Baxter

A writer who has penned and performed poems about the lives of people born 100 years ago has added a comic to his cast.
Henry Dawe from Uppingham celebrated the lives of David Attenborough and Queen Elizabeth II earlier this year, as well as Kenneth Williams and Eric Morcambe.
Now he has added a tribute to actor and comic Stanley Baxter, who would have turned 100 on Sunday (May 24).

As a former member of the Royal Household, Henry has previously written poetry to mark the Queen’s platinum jubilee and a song paying tribute to The Duke of Edinburgh. Through these he raised money for The Silver Line charity for older people.
He has also written a radio play, The Autumn of My Years, which was shared at an event in All Saints’ Church, Oakham, as a way to help break down barriers between generations, and Kenny! – The Kenneth Williams Centenary Musical, which was performed at Uppingham Theatre on May 16.
