MJF welcomes Mick Foley to AEW by kicking him in the junk

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley used the phrase “is All Elite” himself last week when he was announced as Renee Paquette’s pre-show co-host for AEW Double or Nothing tonight (May 24), but Mick Foley didn’t get the graphic that comes along with that phrase when you’ve signed one of AEW’s upper tier contracts. But he got it early during his first appearance on AEW programming.
That also meant that Foley was there to do more than just gab about the card with Renee. Mick got in the ring at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York to explain why he signed, saying AEW helped him fall in love with pro wresling again. He considers Tony Khan a friend, and he’s excited to be a part of the family.
Now fully in the fold, Mrs. Foley’s baby boy got busy turning up the heat on an already hot feud — tonight’s main event between World champ Darby Allin and MJF. Mick was talking about that hair vs. title affair when the challenger interupted. Long Island’s not big enough for both of these two, and when Foley got under Max’s skin, Max hit Foley low. Kind of gently, but low.
The champ ran in to make the save, and that meant sharing a moment with a kindred spirit before his big night.
