Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama and Luka Dončić headlined the 2025-26 All-NBA teams, which were announced Sunday.

It’s no surprise to see the MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, make his fourth consecutive First Team All-NBA squad after the year he had. He put up 31.1 points and 6.6 assists per game while shooting an efficient 55.4 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from deep.
He helped lead the Thunder to the best record in the NBA once again, and they’re on the brink of reaching the Finals in consecutive seasons.
SGA and OKC will first have to get past the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama, who got his first of likely many First Team All-NBA nods. The NBA’s first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year put up 25 points, 11.5 boards, 3.1 blocks and a steal per game this year.
Nikola Jokić, the runner-up for MVP, once again stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 27.7 points, 12.9 boards and 10.7 assists per game. His rebound and assist totals led the NBA.
A handful of notable players were not eligible for All-NBA honors this year, like Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ Luka Dončić and Detroit Pistons’ Cade Cunningham, both MVP candidates, initially were not eligible for postseason awards since they didn’t meet the 65-game threshold, but were granted eligibility through the extraordinary circumstances provision in the NBA and NBA Players Association’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Dončić led the league in scoring (33.5) while putting up 8.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds. Cunningham averaged 23.9 points, 9.9 assists and 5.5 boards while leading Detroit to the best record in the East.
