Car overturns on busy Leicester road as multiple emergency services called

Drivers are reminded to take ‘extra care’ in hot temperatures

A car overturned on a busy Leicester road following a collision that saw multiple emergency services called to the scene.
Officers were called out on Monday (May 25) to reports of a collision in Narborough Road, in the Westcotes area of the city.
It is unclear how many vehicles were involved, but images show one vehicle ended up on its roof, close to the Shell Petrol Station on Narborough Road.
Police were assisted by crews from East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS).

No injuries were reported in what the force said was “a great outcome considering the circumstances”.
Following the incident, drivers have been reminded to take “extra care” when out and about as temperatures reach more than 30C across Leicestershire.
In a message, West Leicester Police said: “We were […] called to a road traffic collision where one vehicle had unfortunately ended up on its roof.
“Thankfully, we’re very happy to report that no injuries were sustained – a great outcome considering the circumstances.
“Please remember to stay safe in the heat, keep hydrated, and take extra care on the roads.”
