Who is Kulwant Khejroliya? Gujarat Titans included the former RCB left-arm pacer in the playing XI for the crucial IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamsala.

Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill surprised many fans after including left-arm pacer Kulwant Khejroliya in the playing XI for the crucial IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

After winning the toss,
Gill decided to bowl first and confirmed that Khejroliya had replaced Arshad Khan in the side. “We’re gonna bowl first. It looks like a good wicket, but there is a bit of dew in the second innings. We have one change. Kulwant comes in in place of Arshad Khan,” Gill said at the toss.

Who is Kulwant Khejroliya?

Born on March 13, 1992, in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, Khejroliya is a left-arm medium-fast bowler who has played domestic cricket for Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. The 34-year-old first came into the IPL spotlight in 2017 when Mumbai Indians signed him after an impressive Vijay Hazare Trophy season that year.

However, he did not get a chance to play for Mumbai Indians and spent the season on the bench. His performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy later earned him a move to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2018 for INR 85 lakh. Khejroliya spent two seasons with RCB and played five matches for the franchise.

Ahead of IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans added him to their squad, and gave him hust one game. He has now received a big opportunity in a high-pressure playoff game in IPL 2026 and that too against his former team RCB.
