Pierre Deny, ‘Emily in Paris’ Actor, Dead at 69 From ALS – Just Jared – Celebrity News and Gossip

Emily in Paris actor Pierre Deny died at the age of 69 after a battle with ALS.
You may recognize him as playing Louis de Léon, the CEO of JVMA, in the Netflix hit series. He was featured in seasons three and four of the Lily Collins-starrer.
His daughters confirmed his passing in a statement
His children said, “It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS.” (via the Daily Mail.)
What is ALS?
The Mayo Clinic notes that ALS is “a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of muscle control. The disease gets worse over time.”
Is there a cure for ALS?
There is no cure for ALS and while some patients can live for decades, most people usually live for three to five years after their diagnosis.
