Katie Price says that she has finally found out what happened to her husband, around two weeks after he went missing.

The former glamour model and reality TV star claimed on Thursday that Lee Andrews had been interrogated on suspicion of being “a spy” and that she had finally had the chance to have a one-minute phone call with him.

While she did not mention what country Andrews was being detained in nor who was interrogating him, the Foreign Office said it was supporting the family of a British man in Dubai after Price revealed her husband was missing.

Price previously said she had been in contact with police in Dubai after Andrews, who lives in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) failed to contact her for days.

“Today was the day – which is why I’m happy – Lee has been found alive,” she told the Katie Price Show podcast on Thursday.

“I don’t know the full update. All I know is – they thought he was a spy – so he’s been interrogated… I am happy today because I didn’t know what had happened, where he had gone, but he has been found alive.”

Price said she only had one minute with her husband on the phone. Relating the conversation, she added “they thought he was a spy, he’s been interrogated, had hoods on him” but she did not say who “they” referred to.The saga began after the 43-year-old Dubai-based businessman failed to show up for their joint appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, May 12, claiming he had “things to do” but was on his way.

However, according to Price, producers of the ITV programme had spoken to the Foreign Office who said they had detained a British man with Lee’s name and date of birth.

Addressing speculation about Andrews following another woman on Instagram during this period, Price told her podcast: “I did ask him. He hasn’t been on his phone.

“He hasn’t had his phone. He’s been interrogated they’ve gone through his phone. So, they’ve been mucking about on his phone basically, it’s not Lee, he hasn’t got his phone.

“What happened with that other woman was apparently she activated her account and maybe she followed Lee or Lee followed her years ago or whenever.

“They’ve never exchanged messages or nothing. So, she blocked him. That’s why it’s gone back.”

When she confronted Lee about the woman, Price suggested her husband did not know what she was talking about.

“I went, just don’t worry about it Lee. Just know one thing: You’re the most hated man in Britain. Everyone thinks this is a scam… we’ll discuss it all when you’re out,” she said.

“I said it’s been a bloody nightmare, it’s gone viral, this that. And he said to me did you think I was dead, I’m like ‘yes, we didn’t know what had happened’. But it doesn’t sound like he had a good time, put it that way.

“When he gets out, we’ll get the real story of everything that happened. It’s going to be like Lee this is the time now. There’s so much speculation about you, it’s about time you actually do a sit-down interview… I think the public deserve it.”

Katie and Lee married in January, just days after they met in person in Dubai.

It is Price’s fourth marriage. She first wed Australian singer Peter Andre in 2005, eventually getting divorced in 2009. She then married cage fighter Alex Reid between 2010 and 2012.

Her longest marriage was to Kieran Hayler, from 2013 until 2021.

Price confirmed her relationship with Lee days after she broke up with Married at First Sight’s JJ Slater.
