WTA French Open Best Bets Including Elina Svitolina vs Tamara Korpatsch

The WTA French Open tennis moves into the third round on Friday. The weather in Paris is still hot, and it remains a big story until the weather cools off this coming weekend. This tournament has become a matter of physical survival as much as playing smart tennis. Elena Rybakina very clearly struggled in the heat. She rallied briefly when shadows provided some shade cover, but she still couldn’t get through her second-round match. The third round is probably going to be the final round before the weather finally becomes milder. Players who get through this round will have a real chance to make a deep run in Paris. LWOS has our best bets for two matches on Friday. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA French Open Best Bets

Elina Svitolina vs Tamara Korpatsch: Time 8:30 EST

H2H: 0-0

Elina Svitolina faces Tamara Korpatsch. Svitolina had a tough first-round match against Anna Bondar. We told you to bet on Svitolina in the second round against Kaitlin Quevedo, believing that she would play a much better match. She did, winning 6-0, 6-4 and covering the spread. Svitolina has a real chance to go deep in this tournament, and after her solid second-round performance, she will expect to play well again in the third round. Tamara Korpatsch has had a great tournament. Getting to the third round of a major is a big deal for her. She fought past Xinyu Wang in an emotional three-set match which involved Wang going over to Korpatsch’s side of the court to argue about a ball mark.

Best Bet to Make

We trusted Svitolina against Quevedo and cashed a ticket as a result. We are going to trust Svitolina again versus Korpatsch, whose serve is not that strong. Svitolina should be able to break serve repeatedly and win the match very comfortably. Svitolina in straight sets doesn’t offer much of a price, so you will have to go with the game spread. Svitolina should be able to cover the number.

That being said, betting on Svitolina -6.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Stearns – Bencic: Time 10:30 EST

H2H: 0–0

Peyton Stearns faces Belinda Bencic. Stearns and Bencic have both looked solid in their first two rounds in Paris, winning in straight sets both times. Stearns handled Sofia Kenin and Daria Snigur. Bencic defeated Sinja Kraus and Caty McNally. It will be interesting to see if both players carry their current good form into this match, or if one player dips while the other remains at a high level. As a third possibility, maybe both players will get nervous and will play poorly.

Best Bet to Make

Both players have played well in this tournament, but to be honest, their competition has not been that strong. Stearns and Bencic were fully expected to beat their first two opponents. Sofia Kenin, who lost to Stearns in the first round, is simply nowhere close to the player she once was. Kraus and McNally, whom Bencic defeated, are not elite players. Now let’s see if Stearns can put up a fight against Bencic, even though she is ranked 67 spots lower (78 to 11). The fact that Bencic is a much higher-ranked player and is in good form right now makes it hard to trust Stearns in this match.

That being said, betting on Bencic winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
