Fun weekend events, plus what weather to expect in Nashville

As we prepare to wrap up May with the month’s final weekend, we’re tracking the forecast for several fun events you might want to partake in. For some, the weather looks better than for others.

The monthly Full Moon Pickin’ Party takes place Friday evening at Percy Warner Park. If you’re going, prepare for a passing shower or even a brief downpour.
Showers and thunderstorms will move into the greater Nashville area Friday afternoon and linger Friday evening.

Spotty showers and storms will linger into Saturday. However, our weather will be trending drier Saturday evening, just in time for the Nashville Sounds game, which gets under way at First Horizon Park at 6:35 p.m. Plan on breaking clouds and temperatures in the 70s.
Sunday’s weather looks partly sunny for the Cracker Barrel 400. There’s the outside chance we’ll have a shower at the race, but it’s more likely dry conditions hold from start to finish.
Partly sunny weather is expected for the race with a 30% chance for a brief showers.(WSMV)
