CLEARWATER, Fla. — Clearwater Police are investigating a shooting that happened at Clearwater Beach Sunday evening just off of Coronado Drive near Pier 60.
The call came in shortly after 5 p.m.
One person has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Since the shooting, there have been reports of several fights happening in the area.
We have been told that beach access to the south beach area has been restricted.
The Clearwater Deputy Police Chief will have a news conference around 8:30 p.m. to talk about what happened.
