NatWest to close 14 bank branches in June 2026 – full list

NatWest is set to close 14 branches in June 2026, bringing the total to 37 branches this year. The prominent high street bank plans to replace many of its branches with banking hubs to allow customers to access some in-person banking services.

Its website details the reasons behind this decision. It states: “Banking has changed dramatically in recent years. There’s more demand for mobile and online services, allowing you to benefit from a faster and easier way to bank.”

Equally, the bank acknowledged the difficulties posed by branch closures.

It added: “We understand the closure of your local branch will bring some changes, and we want to make sure you are fully informed and supported every step of the way.

“You’ll find more information below about each branch closure and the other ways you can bank locally.”

The 14 branches closing in June 2026 include Aldershot, Boston, Fulham Broadway, Grays, Halifax, Hemel Hempstead, Kirkby Lonsdale, Liverpool Street Station, Palmers Green (London), Pontefract, Attercliffe (Sheffield), South Shields, Southall and Welwyn Garden City.

The first closure will be the Hemel Hempstead branch on June 1, and the latest listed in June will be the Fulham Broadway and Halifax branches on June 18.

15 branches closed earlier this month, including the Harlow, Brentwood, Barnet and Cheetham Hill branches, among others.

The 14 branches closing across the UK in June 2026, along with closing dates, are listed below:

A branch in Evesham is set to shut in late August, while a Regent Street, London branch will close in late September. Branches in Godalming and Sydenham will shut in late February 2027 unless banking hubs trigger a change in closure dates.

More information about branch closures is available on the NatWest website.
