Lewis Hamilton Narrowly Avoids a Bike Crash With Kim Kardashian as the Couple Finally Goes “Instagram Official”

If you thought the most stressful part of Lewis Hamilton‘s week was dealing with Ferrari’s massive 2026 engine deficit, think again. The greatest immediate threat to the seven-time World Champion just came from a rogue bicycle on a sunny New York bike path.
After months of intense paparazzi speculation and paddock rumors, American media mogul Kim Kardashian has officially “hard launched” her romance with the Ferrari driver. But instead of a highly produced photoshoot, the confirmation came packed with some unexpected two-wheeled jeopardy.
Hamilton Social Media “Hard Launch”
For months, Hamilton and Kardashian have been spotted everywhere from New Year’s Eve in Aspen to the Coachella music festival. Yet, neither had publicly acknowledged the relationship on their own highly curated social media feeds until today.
In a carousel of photos posted to her Instagram captioned “lately,” Kardashian included a blend of family moments alongside a surprising selfie. As shown in the X account post, Hamilton is seen taking a smiling selfie while riding a bike, with Kardashian following closely behind.
The Target Fixation Crash?
While the selfie is currently breaking the internet, the video on the next slide is where the real mechanical chaos happens.
Kardashian gets distracted by trying to pose for Hamilton’s camera. The video shows her immediately losing her steering balance and veering off the bike path. The clip captures her mouth dropping wide open in sheer panic as she yells out right before the video cuts off, leaving Hamilton smiling and completely oblivious to the mishap directly over his shoulder.
While Hamilton is used to avoiding multi-million dollar carbon fiber pileups at 200 mph, dodging an out-of-control bike on a casual New York date is a completely different kind of hazard.
This public launch comes at a fascinating time for Hamilton. While he is dealing with a highly stressful mid-season engine rebuild at Maranello, his personal life has clearly hit a new gear.
Between recently bringing his mother to a dinner with the Kardashians and now becoming a fixture in Kim’s family-heavy Instagram posts, the Ferrari driver is thoroughly entrenched in the Hollywood spotlight. Hopefully, his on-track steering inputs this weekend in Monaco are a little sharper than his co-pilot’s.
