J.Lo and Brett Goldstein Respond to Dating Rumors

The only person we should be shipping Jennifer Lopez with is still Ben Affleck, sorry. But ahead of her latest rom-com, Office Romance, a Netflix flick out June 5 co-written by Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein, Lopez and Goldstein have been bumping up the flirty energy between each other, but it’s all felt more concocted to sell the film from the start. That’s what happens when the film’s literal selling point has been Goldstein saying he wrote the role with Lopez in mind because she is “the best rom-com star.” Despite Goldstein living out his fantasy and their playfulness throughout the press tour so far, Lopez shut down dating rumors directly when she and Goldstein were asked by Savannah Guthrie on Today.
“There’s never a time when I’m seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person,” she said in response to Guthrie’s inquiries. Still, Guthrie pressed harder, retorting, “That was not an answer … You didn’t say yes or no.” To that, Lopez said “We’re not dating” while Goldstein muttered, “Correct.” Well, at least you’ll always have Office Romance.
