A vacation outfit reveal took an unexpected turn after a young woman’s fashion mishap was caught on camera, leaving social media users amused.
In a viral TikTok video shared in May under the username @kategallagher170, the poster films herself showing her outfit to her followers while giving a detailed description of what she is wearing. As the clip unfolds, her friend suddenly notices something unusual—she is wearing two different shoes.
“Doing your ootd [outfit of the day] wine drunk and you don’t realize you are wearing two different shoes,” the poster wrote in the video.
The clip is captioned: “Not the 2 different shoes on,” adding to the humor of the moment.

Speaking to Newsweek, Kate Gallagher, 27, from Northern Ireland, explained what led to the mix-up while on vacation in Spain with her friend Abbie.
According to Gallagher, the mistake happened during a busy moment while getting ready to go out. After asking her boyfriend for advice on which shoes to wear, she was told to check with her friend instead. However, she forgot to do so and headed out without noticing the mismatch.
“Myself and my friend Abbie were on holidays in Spain. we were getting ready, I had asked my boyfriend which shoe looked best, he told me to ask Abbie and I forgot and we went out!! It wasn’t until we were doing our OOTD video that we realized!” she said.
It was only when the pair began filming their outfit of the day video that the error became clear. The spontaneous reaction captured in the clip has since resonated with viewers online.
The video quickly gained traction on social media, drawing widespread attention for the light-hearted blunder. It has so far racked up more than 7.2 million views and 1.1 million likes on TikTok.
One user, Sian Louise Jones, commented: “Your friends reaction when she notices is sending me.”
