3 students shot at graduation ceremony on Fairfield High campus, official confirms

Three students were shot at Sem Yeto High School’s graduation ceremony held on Fairfield High School’s campus on Wednesday evening, officials say.
Mayor Alma Hernandez of neighboring Suisun City confirmed a shooting happened at Schafer Stadium on campus and said on social media that a search was underway for the shooter.
The Solano County Sheriff’s Office said it was assisting Fairfield police with the shooting investigation at the campus. CBS News Sacramento reached out to Fairfield police for additional information but has not immediately heard back.
According to Fairfield Unified’s website, Sem Yeto High School had a scheduled graduation ceremony at the Fairfield High campus on Wednesday.
The conditions and ages of the victims were not yet known. The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
A suspect description was not available. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fairfield Police Department.
