EXCLUSIVE: The Bear’s Abby Elliott is set for a major role in The Kellys, the Thunder Road action film picked up by Amazon MGM for worldwide release on streaming, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Liam Hemsworth, and Kelsey Asbille.
No word yet on the role to be played by Elliott.
Currently in production, The Kellys follows Jack Kelly, a disgraced NYC cop whose wife, Molly, is taken hostage by terrorists inside an old armory building. Subsequently, he’ll have to join forces with the people he fears most to save her: His family.
Brad Peyton is directing from a script written with Tze Chun.
Elliott plays Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto, sister to Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy, in FX’s lauded culinary series The Bear, which returns for its fifth and final season on June 25. She’s otherwise best known for roles in Peacock’s All Her Fault, Bravo’s Odd Mom Out, and for her four seasons as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
Additional television credits include guest starring on How I Met Your Mother, Happy Endings, Garfunkel and Oates, Inside Amy Schumer, King of the Hill, Difficult People, and 2 Broke Girls. Her credits on the film side include the indie Life Partners, Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, High Road, Sex Ed, and No Strings Attached.
