2026 Tonys Will Feature A Chorus Line, Rent Performances

More performances have been revealed for this year’s Tony Awards, set for June 7 at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony will officially be an evening paying tribute to anniversaries of many landmark Broadway musicals. We already know we’re getting numbers celebrating major anniversaries of Chicago and The Book of Mormon, but now we know we’ll also get Rachel Zegler (due to return to Broadway in 2027 in Evita) performing a 50th anniversary tribute to A Chorus Line.
The evening will also feature Tony-winning Hamilton star Leslie Odom, Jr. singing “Without You” from Jonathan Larson’s Rent, marking the Pulitzer- and Tony-winning rock musical’s 30th anniversary while also honoring those we lost from the Broadway community this past year during the In Memoriam segment.
Presenters at this year’s ceremony will include Adrien Brody, Annette Bening, Ariana DeBose, Ben Platt, Bernadette Peters, Billy Crystal, Bowen Yang, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Carrie Coon, Cole Escola, Darren Criss, Jack O’Brien, Jeremy Pope, John Leguizamo, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kara Young, Kelli O’Hara, Kristin Chenoweth, Law Roach, Lena Waithe, Lily Rabe, Maya Rudolph, Megan Thee Stallion, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Scherzinger, Patrick Wilson, Paul Rudd, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Sarah Paulson, and Sting.
The honors have also released some details about this year’s opening number, which will feature Grammy-winning Tony host Pink backed by more than 170 Broadway performers. The number has been choreographed by Sarah O’Gleby, and is written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Mark Sonnenblick. Tim Murray and Isaac Josephthal are serving as creative consultants.
As previously announced, the ceremony will also feature a performance featuring the entire original Broadway cast of The Book of Mormon, celebrating the show’s 15th anniversary; and a performance celebrating the 30th anniversary of the long-running revival of Chicago, featuring Queen Latifah, Pink, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alex Newell, Adrienne Warren, Cedric the Entertainer, Julianne Hough, Whitney Leavitt, Dylan Mulvaney, and more. These special performances will stand alongside numbers from all of this year’s nominees for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical, an elite group that includes The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime, and The Rocky Horror Show.
Nominations for the Tonys’ competitive categories were revealed May 5, with The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! tied as the season’s most-nominated productions. Both are up for 12 categories, including Best Musical, while Lincoln Center Theater’s Ragtime is right behind with 11 nominations. Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman is the most-nominated play of the season with nine total nods (tying it with fellow revivals Cats: The Jellicle Ball and Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show).
