ITV News presenter Shehab Khan has been inundated with support following his announcement that he’s leaving the broadcaster.
The star revealed the news on Instagram today as he accompanied a collection of photographs showing him on air.
He wrote: “Today marks the end of an era. After seven incredible years, my time at ITV News has officially come to an end.
“It’s hard to put into words what this chapter has meant to me. I’ve had the most incredible experiences and made the most amazing friends.
“From interviewing six British Prime Ministers and reporting across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, to travelling on the PM’s private jet, to making documentaries about my Hajj journey (Alhamdulillah) and observing Ramadan, and presenting the national news – it has been the privilege of a lifetime.

The broadcaster had started making arrangements for his exit a month earlier, establishing a fresh Instagram account separate from his @shehabkhanitv profile, which boasted 21.5 thousand followers.
At that time, he gave no explanation for requiring a new presence on the platform and simply urged people to migrate to his updated handle.
Colleagues and admirers flocked to show their backing and best wishes after the announcement.
Commenting on his post, one person penned: “We will miss you, Shehab – you’ve been brilliant, and will no doubt continue to be brilliant! x.”
