How to watch Phillies vs. White Sox

As they look to continue their stellar homestand this weekend, the Phillies welcome one of the season’s most surprising teams to Citizens Bank Park.
Just two years ago, the Chicago White Sox had one of the worst seasons in MLB history, putting up an abysmal 41-121 record. Even last season, the White Sox sat comfortably at the bottom of their division, going 60-102. But this year’s squad has been a very different story.
Through 62 games in 2026, the White Sox are 33-29, good for second place in the AL Central. Just two games back of the first-place Guardians, Chicago is having their best start to a season since 2021, when they won 93 games and made the playoffs.
This series, the Phillies will avoid White Sox first baseman Munetaka Murakami, the 26-year-old rookie sensation from Japan and the engine of Chicago’s offense. Murakami has 20 home runs and a .938 OPS so far this season, but he’s been on the IL since May 30 with a strained hamstring. But despite his absence, the White Sox have a promising young lineup, which Phillies pitchers will have to navigate carefully.
Meanwhile, the Phillies are 33-29 overall, and 8-3 over their last 11 games, including two three-game sweeps of the San Diego Padres. Fresh off one such sweep at Citizens Bank Park, they will look to keep things rolling at home.
The Phillies and White Sox play a night game Friday, followed by an evening start time Saturday and a Sunday afternoon finale.
All three games will be broadcast locally. Here’s when and where you can watch the series on TV:
- Friday, June 5, at 6:40 p.m. ET: NBC Sports Philadelphia
- Saturday, June 6, at 4:05 p.m. ET: NBC Sports Philadelphia
- Sunday, June 7, at 1:35 p.m. ET: NBC Sports Philadelphia
