Dothan passenger killed after crash off State Road 79

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A truck tractor driven by a 27-year-old man from Dothan was traveling north on State Road 79 in the outside lane when it drifted onto the east shoulder on Friday afternoon.
The truck continued off the roadway, struck a culvert, then went into the woods and hit a tree head-on. The impact uprooted the tree, which fell onto the cab. The truck came to rest facing north.
A passenger from Dothan, whose age was not released, died. The driver suffered critical injuries.
