Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are on a mission to quieten the skeptics, and they’ve got all the ingredients to hang tough tonight against the New York Liberty.

The Indiana Fever and New York Liberty step onto the primetime stage tonight at Barclays Center, with both squads trying to build on winning starts to their Commissioner’s Cup campaigns.

New York has won three in a row, despite another injury for Sabrina Ionescu, but my Fever vs. Liberty predictions expect Indiana to take this clash right to the wire, powered by its elite backcourt.

Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with the game airing on Paramount+.

Fever vs Liberty prediction

Fever vs Liberty best bet: Fever +3.5 (-110)

When the Indiana Fever hit their stride, they can beat anyone — and I’m banking on another sweet-shooting outing as underdogs tonight against the New York Liberty, who will be without key guard Sabrina Ionescu.

The Fever are 4-1 ATS in their last five games, and they showed their ability to win in different ways in Thursday’s low-scoring slugfest against the Atlanta Dream.

Indiana boasts the WNBA’s No.1 offense at 90.8 PPG, and I prefer to trust Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell here over Breanna Stewart, who’s shot 40% or worse from the field in five straight contests.

COVERS INTEL: The Liberty are allowing the second-most 3-point attempts per game this year (28.1), and that’s a concern against Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, who take a combined 13 triples a night and led the Fever to a 44% effort from beyond the arc last time out.

Fever vs Liberty same-game parlay

A faster pace plays to the Fever’s strengths, so look for the visitors to push the tempo wherever possible. I’m laying the points and pairing that with the Over, which is 8-2 in the past 10 meetings between these teams.

It’s a pick that leans into Indiana’s top-tier offense, and Mitchell is a big part of that. She’s averaging 21.1 PPG this year while firing up five 3-pointers a night, and I expect her to be dialed in at Barclays Center.

Plus, Mitchell is fresh off a 25-point gem earlier this week, where she made 11 of her 15 shots, and New York’s perimeter defense will be stretched here, especially if Stewart or Jonquel Jones end up on an island against the crafty Fever guard.

Fever vs Liberty SGP (+390)

  • Fever +3.5
  • Over 174.5
  • Kelsey Mitchell Over 18.5 points

Caitlin Clark pick: Over 2.5 threes (+122)

It’s been quite a week for Clark, who’s listed as probable despite a back issue and vomited at halftime in Indiana’s win over Atlanta this week. But look for her to leave the Liberty feeling sick here with an electric performance from downtown.

Clark’s hope was that the statement victory against the Dream “makes a lot of people just be quiet”, and I’m jumping on this price for her 3-point shooting to keep the Fever in the game. New York’s interior size should also nudge the Fever towards even more looks from beyond the arc.
