5 injured in Penn Station stabbing, FDNY reports

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) — Five people were injured in a stabbing at Penn Station on Sunday evening, FDNY says.

It happened shortly after 7 p.m. on the NJ Transit concourse.

One person suffered a serious injury, two suffered moderate injuries, and the rest suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Bellevue Hospital.

The suspect, considered emotionally disturbed, was arrested by Amtrak police.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are unknown.
