What will the weather be like in the North East today?
A band of rain, occasionally heavy, will clear away south eastwards first thing this morning.
There will be brighter conditions with sunny spells soon after – but also isolated and possibly heavy showers. Any showers are expected to ease during the afternoon along with wind.
