Tracy warehouse fire produces large black plume of smoke, nearby evacuations

A large plume of black smoke can be seen in Tracy as emergency personnel respond to a warehouse fire along Promontory Parkway on Thursday afternoon. 

As of about 1:45 p.m., the Tracy Police Department is urging people to avoid Promontory Parkway in the area of Hansen Road. 

Police added that it’s assisting with evacuations, but it’s unclear what is being evacuated at this time. The San Joaquin County Emergency Services said there are no evacuation orders. 

The Tracy Fire Department said it’s receiving mutual aid from other agencies.
