Police investigating incident involving city bus

Transit manager Robin Miners says a bus was removed from service as a precaution after an isolated incident
A spokesperson for Sault Police is confirming an incident on a Sault Transit bus last Friday is under investigation.
“Officers did respond to a disturbance that took place on a bus. No charges have been laid, but the investigation is ongoing,” said Lincoln Louttit, manager of corporate communications for Sault Police in an email on Friday.
Police, paramedics and transit supervisors were on site after an incident involving a Sault Transit bus on June 5 along Bay Street, directly in front of the Station Mall.
“This was an isolated incident on board a transit bus. The bus was removed from service as a precaution and the matter is currently under police investigation,” said Robin Miners, Transit manager, in an email.
Miners said there was no ongoing risk to transit riders and declined further comment.
