Photos: Ilia Topuria almost unrecognizable after brutal UFC White House main event loss to Gaethje

Ilia Topuria came into the UFC Freedom 250 card as a massive favorite, but he left the White House without his belt and ended up on a trip to the hospital. After an entertaining back-and-forth contest, Justin Gaethje won the lightweight title as he pulled off a huge upset and badly battered Topuria over multiple rounds.
Topuria came in with a pristine 17-0 record, but the scenes at the UFC White House main event saw him take significant damage for the first time in his career. The now former two-division champion was badly battered by his larger opponent, and lost his belt after he didn’t get off the stool for the fifth round.

Topuria looked almost unrecognizable, and photos of his badly swollen and busted up face are also starting to circulate online after the event.
Topuria dropped his overall record to 17-1, and is still just 29 years old. There were previously talks of retirement, but Gaethje has now become an undisputed champion at age 37.
