Manchester Airport passengers face disruption as flights cancelled and delayed

Manchester Airport’s live flight information boards show three departures and three arrivals have been cancelled, with all of the affected services operating through Terminal 2.

The cancelled departures are SunExpress flight XQ3135 to Bodrum, which is scheduled to leave at 11.30am, Etihad Airways flight EY074 to Abu Dhabi, which is scheduled to depart at 2.30pm, and SunExpress flight XQ535 to Antalya, which is due to leave at 4.30pm.

The cancelled arrivals are SunExpress flight XQ3134 from Bodrum, which is due to arrive at 10.30am, Etihad Airways flight EY073 from Abu Dhabi, which is scheduled to land at 1pm, and SunExpress flight XQ534 from Antalya, which is due to arrive at 3.30pm.

The cancellations affect passengers travelling to and from some of the airport’s most popular summer destinations, including the Turkish resorts of Antalya and Bodrum.

A number of other flights are also experiencing delays of more than 20 minutes, according to the airport’s live flight information boards.

Delayed arrivals include services from Faro, Las Vegas, Nice and Doha, while some departing flights are also operating behind schedule.

Passengers are being advised to check the latest status of their flight with their airline before travelling to the airport.

SunExpress flight XQ4051 from Faro is showing a delay of more than 90 minutes, while Virgin Atlantic flight VS86 from Las Vegas is expected to arrive more than two hours later than scheduled.

Arrivals from Nice and Doha are also running more than 30 minutes behind schedule.

Passengers are being advised to check the latest status of their flight with their airline before travelling to the airport.
