Iconic rock band The Cure announced a string of 2026 dates including a huge gig at Wythenshawe Park in summer next year.
The legendary rock band, known for hits like Friday I’m In Love, Boys Don’t Cry and Just Like Heaven, announced this week a string of dates which will see them perform in Dublin, Belfast, Manchester and Edinburgh next summer.
Fronted by Robert Smith, the band first formed in 1976 and have become a significant part of the post-punk and new wave scenes. Their 14th album, Songs of a Lost World, was released last year and marked their first new material in 16 years.
The Cure’s 2026 tour will be the first time the band released the 2024 album and the tour will begin at Dublin’s Marley Park on June 26 and will include a show at Wythenshawe Park on July 21. General sale for tickets will begin on Friday (October 3) from 9.30am via the likes of Ticketmaster and See Tickets.

In the presale on Wednesday, October 1, fans were surprised by the cost of tickets which begin from £77.50 for general access. VIP tickets cost £132.50 each.
And during the presale, fans were issued a “strict” ticket warning to deter people from reselling The Cure tickets for higher than their face value.
The warning read: “To combat the reselling of tickets at above face-value prices, we have introduced the following Terms and Conditions for the UK dates. Touting is illegal in Ireland.
“This event is for fans only and these special conditions are in place to ensure that tickets are purchased for personal use only and are not resold for profit and/or through unauthorised resale sites.”
It went on to warn that each person can only purchase a maximum of four tickets in the presale and six tickets in the general sale.
The warning continued: “A strict limit of 4 (pre-sale) and 6 (general sale) tickets per person per event applies. Any tickets purchased over this limit may be cancelled and invalidated. Tickets must not be purchased with the intention of reselling them for commercial purposes and/or profit.
“Only genuine mobile tickets will be accepted for entry (we’ll give you full instructions on how to access your mobile tickets after you book). If you purchased more than one ticket and ticket transfer is unavailable, your guests must be with you at time of entry. Print outs and/or screenshots of mobile tickets will not be accepted for entry.”

The organisers warned that for those who are unable to attend the event after purchasing tickets, they can use Ticketmaster Fan to Fan Exchange to sell them.
It continued: “If you can no longer use your tickets and are not eligible for an exchange or refund, you may resell them through Ticketmaster Fan to Fan Exchange.
“You may not resell or offer to resell tickets for this event through any unauthorised resale site such as Viagogo or Stubhub, or for commercial purposes and/or profit.
“Any tickets purchased, resold or offered for resale in breach of these special conditions may be cancelled and invalidated.”
