NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Several rivers across Southeast Louisiana are at elevated levels Friday, with some cresting at major stages while others continue to fall, according to the latest water level reading.

The West Hobolochitto Creek near McNeill is the most concerning, currently at a major stage and cresting at 20.50 feet. The Jourdan River is also expected to reach major level, with current readings at 10.78 feet and anticipated to crest at 11 feet.
The Pearl River is at 16.82 feet and cresting at a moderate stage, while the East Hobolochitto Creek near Caesar is at a moderate stage but falling at 18.31 feet.
The Tchefuncte River near Covington is at 24.44 feet at a minor level but falling. The Bogue Falaya River at Boston Street remains at the lowest level of the group at 9.85 feet and is at a minor stage.
Residents in flood prone areas should monitor conditions closely as water levels continue to fluctuate throughout the region.
