Report: Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving expected to miss at least two weeks

Already slated to miss Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, Bucky Irving may have an extended stint on the sidelines.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back, ruled out with a sprained foot for Week 5, is reportedly dealing with a shoulder subluxation injury, expected to sideline him for at least two weeks, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday.

According to Schefter, Irving didn’t report the shoulder injury to the team until this past Tuesday, and it’s considered a bigger problem than his foot injury.

Irving suffered the initial foot ailment in last Sunday’s loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. He underwent an MRI after the contest, which revealed the sprain. He was spotted at practice on Wednesday using crutches and in a walking boot, per Schefter, and is considered week-to-week.

It’s unclear when or how Irving suffered the shoulder injury.

The 23-year-old has been one of the best dual-threat running backs in the NFL this season, tallying 237 yards on the ground with 193 yards through the air on 19 receptions, with two touchdowns.

A second-year player out of Oregon, Irving finished sixth in offensive rookie of the year voting last season after putting up 1,122 rushing yards with eight touchdowns, along with 392 receiving yards.

The Buccaneers (3-1) are also dealing with injuries to WR Mike Evans (hamstring), CB Benjamin Morrison (hamstring), S Jamel Dean (hip) and S Christian Izien (quad), all of whom have been ruled out for Sunday.
