Jets’ Perfetti out week-to-week with ankle injury

Winnipeg Jets forward Cole Perfetti will be out week-to-week with an ankle injury, head coach Scott Arniel confirmed on Sunday.
Perfetti, 23, skated 8:29 during the Jets’ pre-season shootout win over the Calgary Flames on Friday, recording an assist.

The 5-foot-11 centre recorded 18 goals and 50 points in 82 games with the Jets last season. He added three goals and six points in 13 playoff games before his team was eliminated by the Dallas Stars in the second round.
Perfetti is entering the final season of a two-year, $6.5 million contract that carries a cap hit of $3.25 million. He is scheduled to become a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
Drafted 10th overall by the Jets in 2020, Perfetti has 47 goals and 125 points in 222 career games.
