Kate Garraway stuns GMB co-star with confession ‘can’t believe I said that on TV’

GMB’s Kate Garraway left her co-star stunned after making an unexpected confession on the ITV show.
The beloved Good Morning Britain presenter returned to our TV screens on Friday (August 7) morning alongside Adil Ray as they presented the day’s top stories from the UK and beyond.
However, it was one segment that took an unexpected turn as they welcomed entertainment reporter Rishi Davda as well as Bobby Seagull and Saira Khan.
The presenters discussed how many weddings should people have after Hollywood couple Tom Holland and Zendaya reportedly got married for a second time at a top secret £500k wedding in Surrey.
Adil joked that British Asians celebrate weddings for three months and insisted that 250 people would be considered a small wedding.

Opening up about her big day Saira revealed: “So, I had a fusion wedding, so I wore a white dress, but we had vaulties at the table. Because Steve’s an Essex boy, and I’m a South Asian girl, so we did all of that.”
She continued: “But it was just the one day. So obviously, the South Asian, you have the Walima, you have the Mehndi, you have the big ceremony but we couldn’t afford all of that.”
Adil turned his attention to co-star Kate as he asked: It’s two weddings too much? How many weddings did you have?”
Kate revealed: “I’ve had two weddings but by two different people.” The confession caught Adil by surprise as he replied: “Oh, okay, cool. Thanks for that. Thanks for the clarity.”
Kate was left red-faced as she gasped: “I can’t believe I just said that out loud on television, but it’s the truth. It’s the truth.”
Kate shared two children, Darcey and Billy with her late husband Derek Draper
The presenter has been married twice. Her first marriage was to television producer Ian Rumsey, with the couple tying the knot in 1998 before later divorcing in 2002.
Kate went on to marry political adviser Derek Draper in 2005, with the couple sharing two children, Darcey and Billy. Their relationship became widely followed after Derek was left with serious health complications following his battle with Covid-19, with Kate documenting the challenges her family faced during his long illness. Derek sadly died in January 2024.
Rishi pointed out: “It’s lovely to have more than one wedding and especially if the first one is incredibly intimate and private, and just friends and family. You want a chance to celebrate with everybody and have that party and, you know, dance until the early hours. I think the more the merrier.”
Kate added: “When Derek and I got married, we did have a do in London, and then we had a Chorley do because his dad was one of 12, and it just got bigger and bigger and bigger.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
