Alan Carr and Amanda Holden were spotted filming their new BBC series in Corfu – by Brit holidaymakers stunned to find them using their hotel. The TV favourites were filming the fourth series of their hit BBC renovation show, Alan & Amanda’s Greek Job.

Tourists Tara Flanagan and her partner were walking back from Kassiopi beach to their hotel Imerolia Taverna in Kassiopi, Corfu, when they heard the sound of Greek music. A video clip shows the couple laughing as they spot a TV crew, before clocking comedian Alan and TV best pal Amanda dancing.

The 28-year-old says they rushed upstairs to change out of their wet clothes from being caught in a downpour, before returning to take photos and chat with them. Since sharing a video of the ‘bizarre’ interaction online last month, the clip has racked up more than 777,000 views, with social media users comparing it to a ‘dream’.

Tara, from Poole, Bournemouth, said: “We saw the film crew and that sparked an interest. Suddenly we could see Alan Carr and a group of people dancing around to Greek music. We just thought it was so bizarre. It was just so unexpected that it felt so strange but also so funny and cool.”

Tara says that the celebs had also been caught off-guard by the Corfu storm and were ‘dripping wet’. Tara said: “We went upstairs to drop our stuff off and then came back down and the film crew were waiting by the entrance of our door and we saw Alan and Amanda. They were also dripping wet with rain but they were really kind and super nice and they stopped to talk.”We had some photos and it was so funny because Alan was dripping with rain. It was completely bizarre. It felt like a fever dream. This was the full first day of our holiday so we were just adjusting to being there. Then we were caught in the storm and were walking down the path and could hear the Greek music speeding up.

“We spotted Alan Carr kicking his legs about and then Amanda Holden popping up – it was just shock after shock. You couldn’t plan or expect something like that to happen, we just couldn’t stop laughing. Also, they’re two hilarious people so it just added to the humour of it all.”

Speaking about their new series Amanda Holden said: “I couldn’t be happier to announce that Alan and I are going to be doing a fourth series of Amanda and Alan! If I said our big fat Greek renovation, I’m sure that will give you a clue!

“We’re so excited to be spending another summer together bashing down walls in one of our favourite places ever! Over 18 million of you tuned in -so thank you so much for all the love and support.”

Alan Carr said: “Greece is always my ‘Go To’ place for holiday fun, so it will be strange for me to be packing a hard hat, drill and paint roller in my suitcase instead of my usual suntan lotion and budgie smugglers.

“After the success of Sicily, Tuscany and Andalusia I think Greece is the perfect next step for some Alamanda magic, with its rich history and culture and let’s not forget the delicious food and drink.”

The young holidaymaking couple chatted with the presenters about how ‘weird’ it was that they had bumped into each other during the storm. Tara said: “We chatted about it being weird. It was quite quick because of it raining and I think they had to get onto the next location but I just mentioned to Amanda that we’re both from Bournemouth. There’s a few parallels like she went to the school that my mum teaches at.

“I also just finished training at Mountview because I’m a performer and aspiring singer songwriter and I know that Amanda Holden also trained at Mountview. It was a weird and wonderful time to cross paths. I thought maybe it would be in London or Bournemouth but no it was in Greece on a random stormy day.”

Tara’s TikTok video was flooded with comments from people who were thrilled about their celeb encounter. One user wrote: “This is a fever dream but in the best possible way.”

Another commented: “No way – brilliant. Amazing shining light from the unexpected storm. Always a silver surprise lining to any rainbow.” A third added: “This is too funny. I can’t fathom this happening to me. So random, how good.”

Another person wrote: “Me and my wife love Alan and Amanda, this would be a dream!”
