Giannis Antetokounmpo addresses trade report, reaffirms commitment to Bucks
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo addressed a trade report after practice on Oct. 8, during which he reaffirmed his commitment to team.
The Milwaukee Bucks (1-0) took a 33-31 first quarter lead on the Detroit Pistons (1-0) in their preseason home opener at Fiserv Forum on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
Ten players saw action for the Bucks in the first quarter, and eight scored. Milwaukee shot 7-for-10 from behind the 3-point line, many on open catch-and-shoot chances. The Bucks were just 4-for-8 from the free throw line, however. Detroit was just 5-for-10 from the charity stripe. Cade Cunnigham led all scorers with 11 points.
Is Giannis playing?
No. Bucks head coach Doc Rivers ruled Giannis Antetokounmpo out for the game as the star is ramping up his conditioning level after joining the team on Oct. 4 after a bout with COVID-19.
