Frost advisory issued for Columbus, central Ohio. See what areas are affected

Will polar vortex affect Indiana’s winter weather, cold temperatures?
Here’s what weather experts say about how we’ll be impacted by a polar vortex in Indiana, and when we can expect our first frosts around the state.
Cover your plants. The frost is here.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a frost advisory for parts of central Ohio and eastern Indiana. The advisory remains in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Oct. 10. Temperatures could drop to as low as 34 degrees across the region.
Cities impacted by the advisory include Columbus, Circleville, Washington Court House, Pickerington, Marysville and Plain City, among others.
“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation,” the NWS warns. “Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
The frost advisory comes amid a dry spell and a significant cooling in temperatures following blisteringly hot late-summer and early-fall temperatures, and a handful of bouts of heavy rain.
