Everything’s coming up Twinnie – as the York singer has been nominated for two huge awards, announced a homecoming tour, and went line dancing with comedian Rob Brydon.
The internationally acclaimed country-pop artist has earned two nominations at the 2025 British Country Music Association (BCMA) Awards for Best Female Artist and Best Single for her song ‘Hypothetically’.
The BCMA Awards aim to shine a spotlight on the talent driving British country music forward, and the winners will be revealed next year.
“I’m incredibly honoured to be recognised by the British Country Music Association,” said Twinnie-Lee Moore, aka Twinnie. “Hypothetically has been such a special song for me and my fans, and to also be nominated as Best Female Artist is truly humbling.”
Twinnie, who’s originally from York, moved to Nashville in 2023 to pursue her music career.
She started in musical theatre and has performed on the West End, and then later starred on TV in Hollyoaks as Porsche McQueen and in 2024 joined the cast of Emmerdale.
Twinnie can also be seen taking the spotlight on the new BBC Two documentary Rob Brydon’s Honky Tonk Road Trip, which aired on Sunday 5 October. In the first episode, Twinnie gives Rob a tour of Nashville and even teaches him the two-step.
“He’s a barrel of laughs, he’s so nice,” Twinnie told Amy Garcia on BBC Look North about the experience of working with Rob. “It was nice to see someone from home, and he was awesome to work with.”
